My Story

It all started with a $79 webcam back in 2006. I stumbled across a girl filming funny sketches in her bedroom and posting them to a little site called YouTube. Back then, if you had even heard of it, it was mostly a place for pirated TV clips.

I had no idea I was stepping into a whole new world of user-generated content, a small but vibrant community I instantly fell in love with. Creating online videos became my passion. It was the first thing that let me express myself fully, on my own time and my own terms.

As my subscriber count slowly grew, there was no roadmap, no rules, and definitely no “creator economy.” It felt like the wild west, and early creators like me had to figure everything out through trial and error. And I did.

Between 2010 and 2013, I worked part-time jobs just to keep creating. Eventually, I decided to go all in. It was a leap of faith, but I knew in my gut this was the best job in the world, and I wasn’t ready to give it up.

By 2015, everything changed. I had my first six-figure year and have had consistent six-figure years ever since. I began speaking on panels at Google, the Canadian Media Producers Association, VidCon, TravelCon, the International Luxury Hoteliers Conference, and more.

I built confidence in my skills, adapted to every platform shift (and there were a lot), and learned firsthand what it takes to survive in an industry that never stops evolving. And in the years since, the creator world has only grown, bringing even more opportunity and space for new voices to be heard.

I am here to help.

And I’m genuinely excited for you, because you already know how incredible this job can be and you want more of it. You understand the power of having an audience, whether it’s to support your business or grow your personal brand. I see your passion, your drive to succeed creatively and financially, and I fully get the struggles that come with it.

This career can be a lot. Algorithm changes, the pressure to be consistent, public scrutiny, and the constant need for new ideas can wear down even the most motivated creator.

I see you, and I want to help.

For the past 13 years, I was a travel vlogger helping fellow travellers through hundreds of videos, guides, tips, and stories from nearly 60+ countries. Now I’m teaching something I’m just as passionate about: building a lasting creator brand, something I’ve spent nearly two decades figuring out.

I can’t wait to hear your future stories and see how you grow. My hope is that you’re still creating years from now, feeling as inspired and fulfilled as when you first started.

I have so much planned, and I’d love to support you on your journey. Make sure to subscribe to my mailing list (and grab your free 90-Day Content Plan) so you don’t miss any creator tips I share.
